This training class, led by Luo Yougui, a second-level researcher from the Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology Information Industry Trade Union, consisted of union chairmen or committee members from various enterprises and institutions within the provincial industry and information system. Accompanied by Xu Qinghui, General Manager of Fujian Qunfeng Machinery Co., Ltd., and Huang Meifang, Chairman of the company's labor union, the training class visited the company’s exhibition hall, production base, and other locations. They gained a detailed understanding of the company's production operations, independent innovation, technological research and development, and industrial support, and highly praised Qunfeng Machinery's exploration and contributions in the field of intelligent manufacturing.

The training class first visited Qunfeng Machinery's Construction Machinery Technology Exhibition Hall. A sponge city is a new concept in urban stormwater management, where the city functions like a sponge, absorbing and slowly releasing rainwater through buildings, roads, green spaces, and water systems. Therefore, building material companies must shift their design and development concepts to create more new materials for sponge city construction, turning more "hard" materials into "soft" ones.

Qunfeng Machinery has been researching building materials for sponge cities for many years. A customer specializing in the application of aeolian sand and tailing sand reached out to Qunfeng, hoping to collaborate on creating a large-scale permeable brick production base that combines their aeolian sand application business with sponge city projects. Qunfeng customized several fully automated permeable brick production lines for this customer, capable of using aeolian sand as the main raw material. This solution balances energy conservation and environmental protection with economic benefits. The permeable bricks produced using Qunfeng equipment have been widely used in the paving of plazas and sidewalks in front of the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube in Beijing, as well as various pedestrian paths and squares in the city.

The training class then visited the core of Qunfeng Machinery's production base - the digital processing center. This center houses over 300 advanced production devices, including CNC machining centers, fully automated heat treatment production lines, fiber optic cutters, CNC gantry machining centers, shot blasting machines, and three-coordinate joint arms. These devices ensure the precision of each component, allowing Qunfeng's intelligent manufacturing to achieve standardization, process optimization, and large-scale production.
