Qunfeng Re-enters the "National Select": Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Releases the List of "Little Giants" Enterprises Recommended for Continued Support

On June 21, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the "List of 'Little Giants' Enterprises Recommended for Continued Support."

Out of the 1,188 enterprises selected nationwide, 44 are from Fujian Province. As a leading enterprise in China's concrete block forming equipment manufacturing sector, Qunfeng Machinery has been recognized once again.

The list is jointly evaluated by the Economic Construction Department of the Ministry of Finance and the China Small and Medium Enterprise Bureau. It includes performance evaluations of three batches of "Little Giants" enterprises, released after local self-evaluations, expert reviews, and other processes. Enterprises on the list not only need to have been previously selected as "Little Giants" but must also continue to meet MIIT's high standards for specialization, refinement, and innovation, earning it the nickname of the "National Select" list within the industry.

"Little Giants" are high-growth enterprises recognized by the state for their high technical content and innovation capabilities. The selection criteria are stringent, requiring compliance with six aspects: specialization, refinement, uniqueness, innovation, chain, and brand. For example, "Little Giants" must have engaged in a specific niche market for over three years, with main business income accounting for at least 70% of total revenue, an average main business income growth rate of at least 5% over the past two years, and an asset-liability ratio not exceeding 70%. The main products must hold at least a 10% market share in the national niche market, with high recognition and influence.

Additionally, "Little Giants" must meet strict R&D expenditure requirements, such as establishing or collaborating with higher education institutions and research institutes to create R&D institutions, setting up technical research institutes, enterprise technology centers, engineering centers, academician workstations, and postdoctoral workstations.

In July 2021, the MIIT announced the third batch of "Little Giants" enterprises. Qunfeng Machinery, with its outstanding innovation capabilities and brand, excelled in specialization, economic efficiency, and management, earning the title of a "Little Giant."

Being selected again means that the MIIT's recommendation process for supporting "Little Giants" is more rigorous, imposing higher requirements on innovation capabilities, main business income, and R&D expenditure. Qunfeng Machinery has always valued technological innovation, operating two major research institutes and collaborating with notable universities and research institutions. The company invests more than 5% of its main business revenue annually in the R&D of new products, technologies, and processes.
