From December 16 to 17, 2023, the 2023 National Construction Waste Recycling and Utilization Symposium, hosted by the China Urban Environmental Sanitation Association and Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and organized by the Construction Waste Working Committee of the China Urban Environmental Sanitation Association, Kunshan City Construction Green and Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., and Kunshan Environmental Sanitation Association, was successfully held in Kunshan, Jiangsu. In his speech, Director Hu Zijian of the Urban Construction Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development congratulated the convening of the conference. He affirmed the stage progress made in the utilization of construction waste resources from three aspects: laws and regulations, the construction of 35 pilot cities, and the application of resource products. He believed that the comprehensive utilization of construction waste is a powerful support to enhance urban carrying capacity and development resilience, an important means to promote resource conservation and utilization, and has significant implications for advancing the deep and practical implementation of the "14th Five-Year Plan."
